Have you heard the big news? We will be opening a takeaway shop near Joo Chiat in October 2020! It's a milestone for my small business. How happy am I? You just need to look at the picture below. My smile tells it all.
Why this project?
It is an amazing project I've been working on for almost 1 year. When I launched Le Petit Croissant in Singapore I started to rent a fully furnished kitchen at night only. It has been an excellent way to start the business with minimal investment costs. Now that we have grown, we are limited with space and time as I would like to be able to bake all day rather than only at night. We were fully booked for days during the circuit breaker and it was frustrating to have to say no to customers. I can't wait to get a bigger team to prep all your breakfast orders!
The biggest challenge for this project was to find the perfect space for my kitchen. After hours of research and dozens of visits, I have found a perfect kitchen space! It is already approved by the Urban Development Authority (URA) for light cooking; it doesn't require a lot of renovation works and it is conveniently located on ground floor which is great for deliveries.
You can't imagine how much research and stress I went through. I am 100% sure that this kitchen will be the best way to grow my business.
Not only a shop, also our central kitchen!
This new place will become our central kitchen and a takeaway shop. This is where we will be prepping all your pre-orders overnight. You will be able to pick up your order by yourself or get delivered. We will also be working with different delivery services like Deliveroo or Grab Food to allow you to order on the same day and get delivered within an hour. It's going to be a lot of change for us. I hope that ordering on the same day will make it easier for you although pre-orders are always better for our own organization.
We will not have seated space but we will serve excellent coffee for takeaway and maybe a little table outside to enjoy your coffee and croissant. My barista skills will do their come back.
I can't wait to take your orders at our future shop. But before I launch, I will need your support... How and why? Stay tuned and you'll discover soon enough my side project!
